ACCOUNT PLANNER
Account Management & Strategic Planning
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Customer Relationship Management & Development
- Directly receive, discuss, and clarify briefs from customers.
- Understand business goals, marketing goals, communication needs, budget, timeline, and specific requirements for each project.
- Proactively advise and propose communication, creative, and production solutions suitable for the customers' actual needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the customer and internal departments throughout the project implementation process.
- Build and maintain positive, professional, and long-term relationships with customers.
- Proactively monitor needs, identify opportunities, and propose appropriate service items to increase the partnership value with existing customers.
- Participate in approaching, advising, and developing proposals for potential customers as assigned by the Company.
- Receive, synthesize, and handle customer feedback, while coordinating with relevant departments to provide appropriate solutions.
2. Research & Analysis
- Research markets, product categories, brands, competitors, communication trends, and target customer behavior.
- Collect, filter, and analyze data from industry reports, digital platforms, social media, client documents, and other appropriate information sources.
- Identify core brand issues, consumer insights, and communication opportunities.
- Transform research data and information into valuable insights that are applicable to strategies and implementation plans.
- Proactively ask questions, identify missing information in the brief, and propose appropriate exploration directions.
3. Developing Communication Strategies and Plans
- Directly develop strategies and plans for marketing projects, integrated communications, branding, digital, social media, content, and production.
- Define target audiences, insights, strategic approaches, key messages, communication concepts, and the role of each communication channel.
- Develop campaign frameworks, customer journeys, content directions, content pillars, communication activities, and implementation phases.
- Translate client briefs into strategic directions and clear guidelines for Creative, Content, Design, Production, and other related departments.
- Ensure proposed strategies are creative, feasible, and aligned with goals, budgets, resources, and timelines.
- Coordinate to define goals, KPIs, and measurement methods for each project or campaign.
4. Developing proposals, quotations, and pitching
- Directly develop proposals, communication plans, campaign plans, and project presentation documents.
- Build a logical proposal structure that clearly demonstrates context, problems, insights, strategy, ideas, solutions, and implementation plans.
- Coordinate with Creative, Content, Design, Production, and other relevant departments to finalize the content and format of the proposal.
- Work with internal departments and vendors to gather information, define the scope of work, and estimate costs.
- Directly prepare quotations or coordinate the development of quotations in alignment with the scope of work, budget, and company orientation.
- Participate in proposal presentations, pitching, consulting, and defending strategic and creative proposals to clients.
- Receive feedback and adjust proposals, plans, or scope of work according to the agreed orientation.
5. Planning and coordinating project implementation
- Develop implementation plans, timelines, checklists, task assignments, and delivery milestones for each project.
- Organize internal briefings and ensure relevant departments clearly understand goals, requirements, scope of work, and delivery standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Creative, Content, Design, Production, Media, vendors, and partners during the execution process.
- Monitor progress, quality, resources, and costs to ensure the project is implemented according to plan.
- Review creative products, content, and execution items before sending them to clients, ensuring they strictly adhere to the brief, strategy, and agreed requirements.
- Proactively identify issues, risks, or potential delays and propose timely solutions.
- Manage feedback loops, synthesize clear feedback, and accurately transfer it to the implementing departments.
- Control requests for changes in scope of work, incurred costs, or timeline adjustments during implementation.
- Participate in shoots, photo sessions, events, or on-site implementation activities as required by the project.
6. Management of project scope, documentation, and budget
- Monitor the scope of work, quotations, budget, and any incurred expenses of the project.
- Coordinate the preparation of contracts, contract addenda, acceptance minutes, payment requests, and related documents.
- Track the status of contract signing, advances, acceptance, invoicing, and client payments.
- Coordinate with the Accounting department and other relevant departments to ensure project documentation is completed on time.
- Control the implementation to ensure it stays within the scope approved by the client; proactively notify and propose solutions when out-of-scope requests arise.
- Systematically organize, update, and archive briefs, proposals, quotations, contracts, timelines, minutes, feedback, and other project documents.
- Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and completeness of information and data related to clients and projects.
7. Reporting and Effectiveness Evaluation
- Periodically update the direct manager on project status, progress, budget, emerging issues, and resolution plans.
- Coordinate to monitor, synthesize, and analyze implementation results based on agreed goals and KPIs.
- Prepare project reports, campaign reports, and summary documents as required.
- Synthesize lessons learned and client feedback, and propose improvements for subsequent phases.
- Coordinate the development of case studies from M&M's typical projects.
8. Service Development and Internal Resources
- Proactively update trends in marketing, communication, creativity, content, technology, and consumer behavior.
- Participate in building, refining, and developing service packages, capability statements, credentials, sample proposals, and M&M case studies.
- Contribute ideas and plans for internal projects or brands within the M&M ecosystem when assigned.
- Share information, research documents, and professional experience with team members.
- Perform other professional tasks as assigned by the direct manager and the Board of Directors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience and Expertise
- Minimum of 02 years of experience as an Account Planner, Account Executive, Strategic Planner, or a position with an equivalent scope of work at an agency.
- Must have practical experience in both areas: Account Management and Strategic Planning.
- Ability to work directly with clients, receive briefs, consult on solutions, develop proposals, and coordinate project implementation.
- Experience in developing communication plans, campaign plans, or proposals for clients.
- Experience in preparing quotations, managing timelines, controlling scope of work, and coordinating the completion of project documentation.
- Knowledge of marketing, integrated communications, branding, digital, social media, content, and production.
- Ability to conduct market research, analyze competitors and consumer behavior, and identify consumer insights.
- Understanding of the coordination process between Account, Planning, Creative, Content, Design, and Production in an agency environment.
- Ability to independently manage projects of appropriate scale; collaborate with management on large projects or campaigns.
- Have a portfolio or case studies clearly demonstrating your specific role in proposals, campaigns, or projects you have participated in.

- Proficient in PowerPoint, Google Slides, Excel, Google Sheets, Word, Google Docs, and tools for research, planning, and project management.
- Ability to read and understand English documents and create bilingual proposals; communication or presentation skills in English are an advantage.

4. Preferences
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Experience working on IMC projects, branding, digital campaigns, social content, or production.
- Experience in FMCG, F&B, beauty, retail, lifestyle, culture, or tourism industries.
- Experience in pitching, business development, or participating in the creation of tender proposals.
- Experience using research tools, social listening, data analysis, project management, or applying AI to work.
