JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Building and leading creative direction
- Responsible for developing creative and visual direction for branding, integrated marketing, digital, social media, content, key visual, campaign, and production projects.
- Receive briefs from Account/Planning, analyze requirements, and translate them into appropriate creative briefs, creative direction, big ideas, concepts, visual direction, or art direction.
- Lead the idea development process from research, orientation, and concept creation to implementation and product completion.
- Ensure creative proposals simultaneously meet brand objectives, communication goals, customer needs, and practical feasibility.
- Ensure creative products are aesthetic, distinct, consistent, and aligned with the positioning of each brand.
- Update design, advertising, communication, technology trends, and consumer behavior to apply to M&M's creative activities.
- Orient and gradually build the style, professional standards, and unique creative signature of M&M.
2. Professional management and quality output
- Hold ultimate responsibility for the professional quality of all products executed by the Creative & Design department.
- Directly review, provide feedback, and internally approve key products before presenting to the Board of Directors or sending to clients.
- Quality control for concepts, key visuals, logos, brand identity, layouts, social content, digital assets, POSM, proposals, storyboards, and other creative products.
- Ensure designs adhere to the brief, brand guidelines, creative direction, and requirements agreed upon with the client.
- Assess the feasibility of ideas across various platforms, formats, and actual implementation conditions.
- Promptly detect and resolve issues related to quality, misalignment with direction, technical errors, or risks during the execution process.
- Minimize excessive revision rounds caused by subjective errors, misunderstanding of the brief, or lack of internal control.
- Ensure that images, fonts, sounds, design resources, and creative assets are used within the correct copyright scope.
3. Team Management and Development
- Comprehensive management of personnel within the Creative & Design department.
- Assign tasks based on capability, rank, workload, and the specific requirements of each project.
- Proactively balance resources, schedules, and priority levels between projects.
- Develop job descriptions, competency standards, and output expectations for each position in the team.
- Establish individual KPIs and general department KPIs in accordance with the Company's direction.
- Monitor, evaluate, and take responsibility for the KPI results of all personnel in the team.
- Conduct performance evaluations on a monthly, quarterly, or phase-by-phase basis; provide clear feedback and suggest improvement plans for personnel who do not meet requirements.
- Develop career development roadmaps and succession plans for key positions.
- Coordinate with the HR department and the Board of Directors during the recruitment, interviewing, and candidate assessment process.
- Build a creative and responsible working environment with effective coordination and respect for professional feedback.
4. Project Progress and Operations Management
- Coordinate with Account, Planning, Content, Production, and related departments to create implementation plans for each project.
- Assess the scope of work, professional requirements, resources, timeline, and level of complexity before accepting implementation.
- Divide implementation phases, assign responsible persons, and control internal review milestones.
- Monitor the progress, quality, and workload of each staff member.
- Ensure that items are delivered on time and meet the committed quality standards.
- Proactively warn the Account Team and the Board of Directors upon detecting risks of overload, delays, changes in scope, or additional resource requirements.
- Coordinate the handling of client feedback, while clearly distinguishing between adjustments within the scope and requests for changes in direction or out-of-scope additions.
- Participate in filming, photo shoots, production, or important events to oversee art direction and image quality when necessary.
- Manage and control the work quality of freelancers, illustrators, photographers, studios, or external creative partners.
5. Meeting, consulting, and working with clients
- Directly participate in client meetings to understand the brand, goals, needs, and expectations for the project.
- Proactively ask questions, analyze issues, and consult on appropriate creative approaches.
- Explain creative direction, concepts, designs, imagery, brand experience, and implementation plans to clients.
- Present and defend creative ideas in a clear, logical, and persuasive manner.
- Receive direct feedback from clients, identify core issues, and provide appropriate solutions.
- Build trust with clients through professional competence, consulting ability, and brand understanding.
- Maintain professional viewpoints when necessary, while flexibly seeking solutions that balance client desires and product quality.
6. Coordinating pitching and supporting project closure
- Coordinate with the Account Team and Planning Team to develop proposals, creative proposals, credentials, moodboards, concepts, key visuals, and implementation plans.
- Participate in pitching, presenting, and directly demonstrating content related to creativity, design, and production.
- Propose creative solutions aligned with the client's goals, budget, and timeline.
- Advise on the scope of work, product volume, resources, and implementation plans to assist the Account Team in building quotations.
- Coordinate with the Account Team to handle questions, objections, or adjustment requests from clients during the service bidding process.
- Participate in finalizing the creative scope, deliverables, timeline, and handover standards before closing the project.
- Support the Account Team in persuading and converting potential clients into actual projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell appropriate branding, design, content, production, and creative campaign services.
- Be responsible for shared KPIs regarding pitching win rates or project conversion rates according to Company regulations.
7. Developing Departmental Processes and Standards
- Develop and standardize processes for receiving briefs, assigning tasks, execution, internal review, receiving feedback, and delivering products.
- Establish quality control standards for each group of creative products.
- Build a system of templates, checklists, guidelines, and reference documents to support departmental operations.
- Organize the storage of working files, source files, fonts, images, resources, and delivered products in a scientific manner.
- Control access rights, data security, and the use of client assets.
- Research, select, and propose tools, software, technologies, or AI applications to improve quality and work performance.
- Improve the coordination process between Creative & Design and Account, Planning, Content, and Production.
8. Developing the creative capacity and services of M&M
- Coordinate with the Board of Directors to establish the development orientation for the Creative & Design department.
- Propose service packages, creative products, and new solutions consistent with M&M's capabilities and market needs.
- Participate in completing credentials, case studies, portfolios, and company capability profiles.
- Direct the image and creative quality for internal projects as well as brands within the M&M ecosystem.
- Proactively propose activities to enhance the image, professional prestige, and competitiveness of M&M.
- Build plans for training, knowledge sharing, and periodic trend updates for the team.
- Provide reports on operations, performance, personnel, and resource status of the department to the Board of Directors.
- Perform other management and professional tasks as assigned by the Board of Directors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Experience and expertise
- Minimum of 03 years of experience in Creative, Graphic Design, Art Direction, Branding, Advertising, or related fields; preference given to candidates with 04 years of experience or more.
- At least 01 year of experience managing or directly leading a Creative, Design, or Art team; preference given to candidates with 02 years of management experience or more.
- Experience working at advertising agencies, creative agencies, branding agencies, production houses, or communication firms.
- Strong professional competence in graphic design, branding, visual identity, typography, layout, color, key visuals, and identity systems.
- Ability to develop creative concepts, visual direction, art direction, and storytelling.
- Knowledge of digital, social media, content, photography, video production, and multi-platform communication formats.
- Experience directly working with, consulting, presenting, and defending ideas to clients.
- Experience developing proposals, participating in pitching, and coordinating with the Account Team to close projects.
- Ability to assess scope of work, resources, timelines, and the feasibility of creative solutions.
- A portfolio that clearly demonstrates creative capacity, systemic thinking, aesthetic quality, and the individual's role in completed projects.
- Have case studies demonstrating experience leading a team or taking primary responsibility for a project from brief to handover.

4. Professional Tools
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and professional design software.
- Ability to use Figma, Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge and ability to apply AI tools into the process of research, idea development, and creative production.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Google Slides, and proposal presentation tools.
- Ability to check design files, technical specifications, and product quality before handover or production.
